Got my first pcp rifle with them , busy little shop and great service , made sure i knew how to fill up the rifle safely and im really happy with the gamo phox 😁😁
Absolutely fantastic service. I was after a couple of air guns, rang up and spoke to a gentleman called John who checked they were in stock and put both items to one side for me to collect. Once at the store I felt welcomed and the service was exceptional from John. I will definitely be returning in the future.
My old air rifle 45 years old hence I was due a replacement - Looking for full package, decent PCP gun, scope, silencer, bag, pellets, pump - After quite a search on line for the best value I chose Brathwaite's. I bought an Air Arms ultimate sporter at a very good price. Lowest I could find anywhere actually - travelled a fair way to the busy little shop - staff were very informative, explained, advised me on various matters and set the gun up for me. Thank you gents for you time and patience - I did have an issue with the pump which was resolve within 2 days - replacement hose posted - hence I have every confidence regards further support if ever needed - - highly recommended - Happy shooting - - -
I recently bought a second hand air rifle from A Branthwaite and was very happy with my purchase. The shop had only just opened again after lockdown , but they still managed to provide a friendly and professional service. The rifle was sent via RFD transfer and it arrived on time, well packaged, with no issues at all. Would certainly purchase from here again.
Great friendly service also a good competitive price on an air rifle and scope which I purchased from this company. I would definitely recommend them for anything gun's and accessories.
Managed to find the air rifle I was after at Branthwaite's, out of stock online at all other online sellers glad I found the gun and they had a package deal on, sights and gun bag at a very reasonable price.Quick delivery to my local gun shop.Very happy.
Bought an air rifle and accessories from the shop today, great service, had everything I needed in stock. Mark was very helpful and knowledgeable, excellent professional advice, friendly & helpful, great value stock thanks. Highly recommended. Vic
I needed help sourcing and fitting a new scope for my old air rifle on a low budget. The staff were very professional and attentive, providing me with advice at a level I understood. My spend was not big, but the service was excellent. 5*
Hi well I have been going and buying guns from Arther's and shooting accessories for over 25years if not longer does that tell you something about Branthwaites friendly and good service
Absolutely great service form John , made an online enquiry yesterday around a new hw97 , got and email back confirming they had them in stock , called this morning and arranged to pick the rifle , great service in the troubled times 👍🏻
A few months ago I took my Walther CP88 to Branthwaites for repair (gun not retaining gas!).The service I received was friendly, professional and meticulous - I would be happy to deal with them again, as needed.John KeastSale, Cheshire
Shotgun owner for 60 years now, bought my first one from Arthur in 1978,and my favourite Beretta 682 in 1988 with 30"barrels,added 32"later.Arthur is a very knowledgeable Gunsmith. Once showed me a Remington Rolling Block in pristine condition dated circa 1888, from his extensive armoury. Excellent secure transfer service at nominal cost. Storage service if you don't renew in time! Well worth a visit when C19 allows!
Visited a couple of times as a newish returning air gun enthusiast who had totally lost touch with PCP etcFound the staff helpful ,totally not focused on making a sale, and directed me away from a more expensive sale to a gun more suited to a beginner.Their prices were much more competitive than other local shops I visited too
Excellent service, ordered a rifle 1st thing this morning and drove up from Cannock, rifle was all ready when I got there, perfect transaction, well impressedDave Matthews
Amazing service really helpful staff and very quick to respond to my enquires also found the prices to be as good as the online prices I was getting would certainly recommend this place to anybody
I was looking for a budget Shogun 2nd hand. Called in and the service was as good as if I was buying a pair of £20k Purdy's. Couldn't have been any more attentive and informative. They even added a mid bead sight whilst I waited.Excellent. Highly Recommended
Very responsive even given the Covid lockdown. The scope wasn't in stock but they arranged to have sent direct from the manufacturer. Also they were the lowest price I could find. Would highly recommend.
The owner could not have been more helpful, really went out of his way to help me, really great price on guns and accessorises, won't ever go anywhere else !
Visited today for the first time, what a very positive experience it was...well impressed...bought a Beretta and some shells..Highly recommended !!A hidden gem !!
There a good place to shop for shot guns find there pricing is just slightly cheaper than the gun room don't find them pushy price of shells is over all same as most shops the odd cheaper clearance can recommend a visit
Great Service as usual From A Branthwaite’ its always a pleasure to call in and get great advise and I have been a client for 30+ years for all my guns and carts John Shaw sorted my resent sale of one of my guns to another Gunshop for me and would like to say how hard he worked with some issues on my behalf he did a Sterling job 👍
Just bought a new Berreta 692 from them i had it cheaper than I could buy it from any where else in the country I did travel 200 miles to get it but it was worth it and I did wait for it to come in from the inporter that was six weeks. Great service with John and a nice cup of coffee and a chat I know it was 200 miles away but if I was buying a new gun again I would travel to this shop I have bought guns all over South Wales but this shop was just different it seems that they just wasn't there just for the money.
Bought a air pistol friday took it back Monday faulty .Replaced with same model lasted less than 12 shots. Took it back and had argue the toss over a refund. NEVER AGAIN.
Surprisingly well stocked given the size, a really great place to go if you are after a shotgun where there is a great range and helpful staff to advise on fit. Also a good range of ammunition.
Been a few times now always helpful good range of knives airpistols ammunition and shotguns bought a few knives today good quality thanks for the advice I would recommend this shop 5*
Terrible Experience - Will not go back there again! No acknowledgment of error and no apology!I purchased a beautiful Anschutz Match 64: 1517-U2 G Thumbhole .17HMR; with the deluxe skeleton stock plus all the other essentials like mod, scope and ammo. The rifle didn't come with the sling studs in place so I asked if they can be fitted, the reply was yes no problem. Before I get into this; my terrible experience is not about the 'error'; we are human and people can make mistakes. The terrible experience is about how it was managed. So, simple job, drill and set two sling studs, one on the butt and one on the forend. The butt stud was fitted perfectly, no issues there. The forend was not - by a country mile. The stud was drilled and set, a massive 8" from the tip of the forend, yep, right where anybody would grip the rifle, right where the forend grip checkering was painstakingly craved by hand! I know I dont need to say this but the stud shoudn't be there! 2.5" from the tip of the forend is the suggested distance (RUAG told me this). No! hands up "I've made a mistake" , no, just manoeuvring and trying to get out of it and treating me like a mug!The reason I was given by the Arthur the Gunsmith.... 'there isn't enough wood on the forend for a secure fitting', we discussed this in length, and the Gunsmith concluding with this statement; "we have a difference of opinion of where it goes, so lets not fall out about it, I'll get you a new stock"I few days later I went to pick up my new rifle with an even newer stock. I was told by Arthur that RUAG wouldn't drill the stock on his behalf because they wouldn't take responsibility for the integrity of the stock and their work (?).... I quickly interjected saying RUAG doesn't have a Gunsmith on site - because I enquired about the possibility of them carrying out the work. He ignored this, and simply went on to say " if RUAG wont carry out the work and warranty it then I'm not prepared too either". He then gave me the £20 back I paid him to do the work (spent well over a grand - naively I thought he would have done it for nowt) and we said our goodbyes.I subsequently drove 4 miles down the road to The Cheshire Gun Room, the lads down there said 'instantly' we can do the work and we might be able to do it while you wait - I they did! Fast, friendly and efficient!Below is a picture of the said rifle and its ridiculous forend stud placement!PS: Google do not allow Zero Stars unfortunately, so the star is for John on the front desk, who does a great job
Arch Stanton was the name on a grave in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. His review is not good but it is the rest of the title. My S410 was serviced, upgraded and tested for a very reasonable sum and it has never leaked a drop of air or missed a beat in nine months. OK, pellet prices do tend to vary with who serves you but this place is still good service and value for money.
Husband wanted a Beretta 690 111 S and although we live in North Wales, Branthwaites offered the best price and ordered a selection of 3 so that he could choose the wood. Having chosen his 'baby' we were taken to the inner sanctum, (what a classy, gentlemen's back room!), and served mugs of wicked coffee whilst the deal was done.Unfortunately, 4 months later, the gun developed an ejector fault (known to Beretta), and had also noticed a tiny blister in the metal on the action face. Off to see the Branthwaite boys! Gun packed off to GMK pronto who replaced both the action and barrels but transferred, as requested, the original wood. One week later we went to get her back, congrats for fast service, but the wood had an inch long bruise on the underside of the stock that hadn't been there previously. Forty minutes later in the local cafe and Branthwaites had steamed it out beautifully, only payment for damage that wasn't their fault was to give a review so here it is! You are stars guys and well worth the journey for your excellent customer care and humour, a hidden gem in the treasure chest that is the gun world. X
Bought the Hatsan AT44 10shot on a deal with. Scope and Moderator only had to buy sleeve on top Rifle was faulty so took it back this morning and they tested it and replaced without any hassle. Great shop, service and experience.
Excellent selection of shotguns, came highly recommended by our group of shooting friends.I along with my brother are now regular visitors. We are very sporty and absolutely love shooting. We purchased a new Beretta and two used Brownings, very happy. They have an excellent selection of shotgun cartridges and shooting accessories. We always enjoy our visits to the shop and draw on Arthur's expert advice.
I have been using Branthwaites for around 2- 3 years now and at no point during my time have I ever had a bad word to say. They are extremely friendly, polite and very professional! They will go above and beyond to help and assist you with your enquiry! From Shotguns, Air rifles, rifles to clothing and ammunition they will give you advice and tips for you to get the best out of which ever aspect of the sport you are interested in. Highly recommend these guys, I think the three years of repeat business speaks for itself.
Arthur Branthwaite is a consumate professional. I have bought three guns here, sold two through him. Recieved advice both beneficical to me and detrimental to Arthur. His staff his premises, their attitude: A first class example of customer service at its finest. If the deal cant be done , they are straight to the point. If it can they will. My biggest vote is for advice on cartridge for game days. "Try what you can, see what you like and swap the rest". I am and will remain a customer. An excellent Gunsmith and customer service experience.Oh and I live forty miles away in Rochdale and it takes me an hour to get there. I am not related nor a friend. I tried on a recommendation and will do so for a long time yet. Unless they find a box that fits!
Brilliant and friendly yet totally professional attitude to my first new gun purchase. Thank you to Mark and colleague for making the purchase of my new Fabarm a great experience and appreciate the time you gave me. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
All i know, is that its a friendly, family business, which do everything they can to support the customer. Ordered a new shotgun and had nothing but updates and good communications.
Check out Ammo prices, cheaper than some major companies.
Rare to find a solid customer service focused, family business.
