Airgun Repairs and Servicing

At A. Branthwaite Gunsmiths we have experienced members of staff that have been repairing and servicing airguns for many years. Trained in-house by Air Arms leading airgun manufacturers. We specialise in the repair and service of pre-charged of air rifles and air pistols.

We specialise in servicing and repairing the following air rifle brands; Air Arms, BSA Guns, Webley, and Weihrauch.

To arrange the repair or service of your airgun simply contact the store on 0161 485 1199 to book your air rifle or air pistol in. Alternatively you may call into the store.

Service or repairs of airguns usually takes between 2-7 working days. This is to allow for the acquisition of parts, if they are not already kept in stock. We also require an adequate period of time after completing the airgun service or repair for testing. We use the best quality o-rings and genuine parts.

Our Terms for Airgun Repair or Service:

Pricing the job – Air Rifle Service

Spring Powered Air Rifle: from £75 +VAT + Parts (at extra cost)

Non-Regulated PCP Pre-Charged Airgun: from £120 +VAT

Regulated Pre-Charged Airgun: from £150 +VAT

HW100 Air Cylinder (Only) Service: £35 +VAT

Please be aware that we only work on original Weihrauch cylinders (No A&M Cylinders or similar) for safety reasons. If your airgun has been customised please provide details. We will refuse to work on air rifles sent to us without making it known first. The age of the airgun is also a factor when servicing.

Pre-Charged Airgun Service includes: (Full O-ring kit included) strip-down, de-grease, replace o-rings, lubricate, clean barrel, polish hammer, service regulator & set reg pressure (depends upon make & model), set up power 11+ ft/lbs (under 12 ft/lbs, unless FAC) and performance test report. Any additional or replacement parts if required/requested, will be available at extra cost.

Please be aware in some circumstances some repairs may require additional parts which cannot be determined until the airgun has been stripped down and fully inspected.

You must be over 18 years of age to collect your air weapon or accompanied by an adult. Photographic identification will be required. We will require your address details and a contact phone number.

If you are posting your air rifle, please remove all unnecessary accessories: Stock, Scope, Mounts & Bi-Pod and sound moderator.

When preparing to send your airgun, remove the stock, scope and sound moderator, this will reduce the size of the package. Make sure you try to protect the main body of your airgun by using bubble warp and package securely in a cardboard box. We recommend using a courier such as Parcel Force. Please provide your name, address and contact phone number with a brief description of the problem. Please call the shop before posting your airgun so we can confirm if its an brand and model we can repair or service.

If your air rifle is a PCP / pre-charge we will require the magazine and may require the fill probe adaptor. (If its not a major brand).

Once your item is ready for collection we will contact you.

We maintain the right to refuse any repair.

ALL AIRGUNS MUST BE COVERED when entering and leaving our store.

Our Address is: A. Branthwaite Gunsmiths, 6&8 Ravenoak Road, Chealde Hulme, Cheshire, SK8 7DL

Recent Airgun Repairs Customer Reviews

“The air rifle arrived safely on Thursday morning, thank you.  I’ve reassembled it, fitted the scope and zeroed it.  I rather think that the accuracy has improved after the service – the shots are all going through the same hole.  FX certainly make good stuff.  Shortly after the hens are put to bed the assault on the rats resumes…”

“I decided to send my Hw110 to Branthwaites for full strip and service after hearing of them numerous times at my local range. Now I know what all the fuss was about. After a brief conversation to ascertain my requirements, the rifle was sent via postal courtier to Branthwaites. The service and tune where completed in a timely manner with excellent customer care throughout. On recieving the rifle back I hurried to the range to compare the pre and post service and tune results. I was and am still astounded by the magic that their specialist air rifle Gunsmith Mark had delivered back to me. He has indeed earned my respect and custom now and in the future re any air gun repair, service or other. Phenomenal repeated accuracy and 11.6 ft/lbs of power to satisfy any sub 12ft/lbs airgunners. You will not be disappointed, give them a call and the rest is Bullseye’s. Thanks to all at A. Branthwaites Gunsmiths, especially Mark their resident Wizard”. Ian Smith (Widnes)
